Students on the photography track will learn methods in both darkroom and digital photography. Throughout the program, students receive foundational instruction that encourages them to explore different methods of printing and presenting their photographs. Our classes prepare students to develop their own practice by developing their compositional skills and cultivating spaces where students can communicate conceptual meaning. Students enrolled in digital classes will have access to industry-standard editing software in our new Digital Media Laboratory at Goodman Hall. Photography students do not have to take any drawing or painting courses, but they must complete the same number of hours in film, design, and/or photography coursework.
